An exciting opportunity for a Supervising Pharmacist to join a well-established, community-focused pharmacy located just off the Dublin Road, Portlaoise — just 20 mins from Kildare and 50 mins from Dublin with excellent accessibility and ample parking.
This is a genuinely flexible and adaptable role supported by a highly experienced and collaborative team.
The Supervising Pharmacist will:
-Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy
-Ensure full compliance with PSI standards and all regulatory requirements
-Dispense medications accurately and safely
-Provide patient consultations and clinical advice
-Manage stock control and inventory systems
-Maintain a safe, efficient, and organised working environment
-Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy and front-of-shop staff
-Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional practice
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
-Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and dispensing practices
-Excellent communication and patient counselling skills
-Proven leadership ability and experience guiding pharmacy teams
-Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
-The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
-Professional and calm handling of patient queries and clinical decisions
PSI Registration is essential.
Previous supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
