Job Description

Full Time Pharmacist Required, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

The candidate will faciliate double cover during daytime hours at the pharmacy and will work as part of a busy dispensary team.

Since 1953, we are located on 34 Main Street in Ireland’s leading tourist town Killarney, County Kerry. Working as a part of our experienced team the Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medicines to customers/patients.

The main duties of this roles include:

To operate the dispensary in accordance with all the legal responsibilities pertaining to the profession of pharmacy.
To exercise all aspects of law, ethics and codes of practice as set out by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
To interact with other health professionals & work as part of the pharmacy team (dispensary, retail & online).
To ensure the safe and effective delivery of medicines to all customers/patients.
To support the Superintendent Pharmacist & Pharmacy Owner in following up of rejected claims.
Any other projects and duties where they arise.
The successful candidate will:

Have great business acumen & be customer/patient focused.
Be highly organised & able to work under pressure & as part of a team.
A proven track record within a busy community pharmacy setting.
Have an understanding of effective budget & stock management.
Flexibility with working arrangements, the role may involve weekend work at times.
