Support Pharmacist
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Support Pharmacist to join our team two days per week, on Fridays (9am to 6pm) and Saturdays (10am to 2pm). Excellent support staff, including two fully qualified technicians and one trainee technician. Rota flexibility if a weekend off is required. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support daily pharmacy operations, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
– Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
– Review prescriptions for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, and contraindications.
– Provide patient counseling on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
– Support inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering, and checking for expired medications.
– Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy.
– Cover shifts as needed to support the pharmacy team.
