I am a pharmacist with almost 13 years post-registration experience. I completed my pre-registration in community pharmacy and continued to work exclusively in this industry for a further two years post registration. During this time I was involved in the vaccination programmes, EHC and a range of other consultations on top of day-to-day dispensing. In 2015 I moved into the hospital pharmacy sector. During my 11 years in hospital I have worked in a number of hospital pharmacy departments with varying staff levels and diverse needs from rural model 3 hospitals to large Dublin teaching hospitals e.g. Regional Hospital Mullingar, Cavan General Hospital, Roscommon University Hospital, Temple St Children’s Hospital and St James’s Hospital. I completed a post graduate masters in Clinical Pharmacy Practice via Robert Gordon University Aberdeen in 2018 and have continued to prioritise my clinical training.
In addition to clinical skills I have also over time become more adept at deputising for my line manager and managing staff where needed.
